Sack and colleagues (2024) recorded tissue oxygen (transcutaneous TcPO2) in chronic ulcer patients and found roughly 161 mmHg at 1.4 ATA versus 333 mmHg at 2.0 ATA, about half the tissue oxygen at the lower pressure. The authors reported no evidence that 1.4 ATA treatment benefits chronic ulcer patients.3
